Kilchoman Sauternes Single Malt 2024 + Free Gin Sul
It's almost time... the beloved classic is back!
The limited edition Kilchoman Sauternes Single Malt 2024 has spent its entire maturation period in Sauternes wine casks.
Anthony Wills, the founder of Kilchoman, selected a combination of fresh and refill Sauternes barriques from two different vintages, the youngest being from 2018, creating an extraordinary balance of buttery sweetness, grilled pineapple, ginger candies, and floral peat smoke. After a six-year absence, Sauternes Cask Matured Kilchoman is back!
The previous release was in Sauternes finish, now it's time to return to full strength, which comes from complete maturation in these wine casks. Waves of sweet fruit and butter balanced by peat smoke from Islay, that's this delicious whisky.
This time, Anthony opted for 22% fresh and 78% refill casks from two years of distillation. This approximately 3:1 ratio of fresh to refill casks creates the perfect balance of Sauternes influence and Kilchoman character.
Most of the selected filling casks were previously used for the 2018 Sauternes finish release. Using these casks for finishing is the ideal preparation for complete maturation.
Maturation in Sauternes casks is challenging, especially full maturation, which is why it is so rare.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 50% with a volume of 0.7 l and are delivered in gift cartons.

A breeze from Portugal is coming! Transport yourself to the wild coast of Vincentina and enjoy a refreshing Gin Tonic under the blazing sun. Botanicals sourced from Portugal and distilled in the famous German distillery in Hamburg. This is Gin Sul.
The juniper distillate is created in a small, handcrafted, copper distillation apparatus. All alcoholic vapors must pass through a metal sieve containing herbs.
Cold, clear, and soft water from Lüneburg Heath, Portuguese lemons the size of grapefruits, juniper, fresh rosemary, and the oily resin from the herb cistus (rock rose) make GIN SUL exceptional. A hint of the Portuguese Atlantic coast is filled into typical white clay bottles, which protect the gin from light and heat.
