Ardbeg Corryvreckan
Fill up your tasting glass and take your experience to the next level!
Delicate, strongly peaty and wonderfully wild whisky Ardbeg Corryvreckan is named after one of the largest and most famous sea whirlpools in the north of Islay.
The name Ardbeg Corryvreckan is derived from the famous whirlpool located in the north of Islay that only the bravest souls dare to approach. Beneath the surface of this beautifully balanced spirit lie swirling aromas and currents of deep, peaty, and spicy flavor. Like the whirlpool itself, Corryvreckan is not for the faint-hearted!
In 2010, it won the The World's Best Single Malt Awards (Best Single Malt Whisky in the World).
Dive into the whirlpool of flavors and currents of taste will emerge; deep, spicy, and subtly menthol, bombarding the palate. The first immersion brings peppered steak soaked in a paprika sauce with a taste of crispy seaweed. As you descend deeper, you will encounter a mouthful of black tarry espresso coffee, coating the palate with rich melted dark fruits (blackcurrants, blueberries, and cherries) and bitter almonds. Followed by notes of star anise and violets.
Unchill-filtered and uncolored. Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 57.1% with a volume of 0.7 l and are delivered in gift cartons.
