Tennessee whiskey is the icon of the American South – smooth, balanced, and defined by a character that sets it apart from other styles. Like bourbon, it’s made primarily from corn, but its true uniqueness comes from the final step in production: the Lincoln County Process.

The Lincoln County Process

This traditional method involves filtering the freshly distilled spirit through a thick layer of sugar maple charcoal. The process takes several days, during which the whiskey gains exceptional smoothness and purity of flavour. It’s this technique that distinguishes Tennessee whiskey from bourbon – making it softer, more harmonious, and subtly smoky.

Flavour and character

Tennessee whiskey offers rich notes of vanilla and caramel, complemented by a light sweetness and a gentle smoky touch. It’s excellent neat, with a drop of water, or on the rocks, and also shines in classic cocktails such as the Old Fashioned or Whiskey Sour.
