Santos Dumont is an exceptional rum named after aviation pioneer Alberto Santos Dumont (1873–1932). A visionary, inventor, and man of refined style – a symbol of Brazilian pride and European sophistication. His father, a French-born entrepreneur, was the “king” of coffee and sugarcane production in Brazil. The family embraced innovation to improve efficiency, and Santos himself became famous as the creator of the first motor-powered airplane. He is also credited with inspiring the invention of the wristwatch, asking Louis Cartier to design a timepiece he could wear while flying.

Today, the Santos Dumont brand is part of A.H. Riise and enjoys worldwide acclaim. The secret of its rums lies in the use of 100% pure virgin sugarcane, aged in ex-bourbon and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
