François Voyer is a traditional family-owned producer of cognac, closely associated with the prestigious Grande Champagne region – the only cru classified as Premier Cru de Cognac. Cognacs from this area are renowned for their finesse, complex aromatics and exceptional potential for long ageing.

Estate vineyards in the heart of Grande Champagne

The Voyer family farms approximately 28 hectares of estate vineyards located in the villages of Verrières and Ambleville. The limestone soils typical of Grande Champagne give the wines – and subsequently the cognacs – remarkable elegance, minerality and the ability to develop harmoniously over decades of ageing in oak casks.

The family’s involvement in viticulture and trade dates back to the 1870s. Knowledge passed down through generations is reflected today in meticulous vineyard work, careful distillation and a sensitive selection of oak barrels.

A craft-driven approach with respect for time

Francois Voyer cognacs are crafted from grape processing through to long-term ageing. The house is known for taking its time, allowing the eaux-de-vie to mature at a natural pace so their full aromatic depth can emerge. As a result, these cognacs can be found on the wine lists of leading French restaurants.
