Description
An Oa is named after the rocky region of Mull of OA in the southwestern part of the island of Islay, where the Ardbeg distillery is located. Since 2017, An OA whiskey has been an integral part of the Ardbeg range. The aging of whiskey in barrels is combined. Ardbeg An AO first matures in virgin barrels Pedro Ximenéz, later in bourbon barrels.
Aroma: sweet cream with notes of butter, fennel, tobacco, cloves, nuts and fruit.
Taste: peat with the addition of tobacco smoke and flapjack syrup, with sweet black tea at the end and a hint of chocolate.
Conclusion: long lasting with a delicate aftertaste of peanuts.
