Kilchoman 100% Islay Sherry Cask Matured 11 Year Old

This whisky Kilchoman 100% Islay Sherry Cask Matured 11 Year Old is part of the 100% Islay portfolio from Kilchoman, created from barley grown directly on the Isle of Islay between 2011 and 2013.

The whisky matured for at least 11 years in exclusive 16 first-fill Oloroso sherry casks from producer José y Miguel Martín in Jerez, Spain.

The nose reveals rich aromas of dark fruits, dried fruits, spices and subtly meaty peat, which is attributed to the combination of sherry casks and the typical Islay profile.

On the palate, it showcases a complex texture – smoke, dark chocolate, honey, cooked apples, and a malty backbone, with a long finish featuring notes of grilled fruits, plums, blackcurrants, and a lingering woody-smoky trace.
