Kilchoman Family Collection 18 Year Old

Kilchoman Family Collection 18 Year Old is a limited edition Islay single malt Scotch whisky from the first edition of the Family Collection. The Wills family selects the casks for this collection during their annual inspection of maturing stocks, with each bottling reflecting the personal choice of the founding family members and the evolving character of the Kilchoman distillery.

This 18-year-old version matured in ex-bourbon casks and was made from heavily peated barley with a value of 50 ppm from Port Ellen Maltings, representing a more traditional smoky profile of Kilchoman. Thanks to the longer maturation, it feels smoother while still retaining the typical island character with peat, citrus, malt, and maritime salinity.

On the nose and palate, notes of gentle smoke, vanilla, pineapple, lemon zest, honeyed malt, toasted coconut, tropical fruits, salted caramel, and oak spice emerge. The result is a mature, elegant, and balanced whisky that combines the pure ex-bourbon character with Kilchoman's distinctive peaty identity.
