Kilchoman Family Collection 14 Year Old

Kilchoman Family Collection 14 Year Old is a limited edition Islay single malt Scotch whisky from the first edition of the Family Collection. The casks for this collection are selected by the Wills family during their annual inspection of maturing stocks, and the individual bottlings reflect the personal choice of the founding family members as well as the development of the Kilchoman distillery's character.

This 14-year-old version is distinctive in that it comes from barley grown and malted directly at Kilchoman. Unlike older versions in the collection that use more heavily peated barley from Port Ellen Maltings, this is a gentler Rockside Barley expression with lower peat and a cleaner farmyard character.

Aging in ex-bourbon casks highlights notes of creamy vanilla, honeyed malt, citrus peel, pears, coconut, and gentle oak. Thanks to the more balanced peat, the whisky feels elegant, malty, and fresh, with a subtle maritime smoke in the background.
