Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2025

Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2025 – a 10-year-old whisky aged exclusively in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, also celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Kilchoman distillery on Islay. The drink is named after the largest freshwater lake Loch Gorm near the distillery, known for its dark, peat-colored water – the color of the whisky reflects its deep copper-red hue.

Founders Anthony and Robin Wills selected 23 Oloroso sherry casks (20 first-fill and 3 second-fill), in which the whisky aged for at least 10 years (distilled around 2014–2015).

After traditional double distillation, maturation occurs exclusively in these sherry casks from the bodega José Miguel Martín, without the addition of coloring and without chill filtration. The resulting bottling has an ABV of 46 %.

Kilchoman is a distillery where barley is grown, malted, and distilled on-site – since 2005, it has embraced the “grain-to-glass” philosophy. Loch Gorm is their favorite annual limited edition, known for its rich sherry flavor, distinctive smokiness, and zesty citrus refreshment – each annual batch varies slightly, yet always maintains the brand's identity.
