Kilchoman PX Sherry Cask Matured is a limited edition of this year - 2023. The whisky matures for at least 5 years in ex-sherry Pedro Ximénez casks previously used by Bodega José y Miguel Martin, Jerez, Spain. The time spent maturing in Pedro Ximénez casks has imparted layers of rich, sweet PX influence to the whisky, beautifully balancing with the citrus sweetness and peaty smoke of the Kilchoman distillate.
The Kilchoman distillery is located among the traditional buildings of Rockside farm on the northwest coast of Islay. The distillery is known as Islay's Farm Distillery and its barley fields stretch west to Machir Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Kilchoman is unique in many ways, primarily for its 100% Islay range, the only farm-produced Scottish single malt.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 50 % and are delivered in blue-gold gift boxes.
