Nordés is a gin inspired by the North Atlantic wind (known in Spain as "Nordés") that celebrates the nature and traditions of Galicia. Instead of the usual grain distillate, it is based on Albariño white wine, which gives the gin an unusual smoothness, fruitiness, and floral notes.
Several botanicals (often 11-14) are added to the distillate, six of which come from Galicia, including herbs and plants typical of the local coast: salicornia (seaweed), lemongrass, laurel, sage, eucalyptus, mint. These botanicals give the gin its unique, fresh, and somewhat maritime or coastal character.
The aroma of Nordés is refreshing, with subtle floral notes, white fruit, citrus, herbs, and a slight minerality or salty flavor reminiscent of the sea.
On the palate, the gin is fresh, delicate, and balanced, with fruity and herbal notes that linger alongside subtle juniper, eucalyptus, laurel, and mint.
The result is an elegant, fresh and somewhat unconventional gin compared to classic gins – instead of a pronounced juniper or strongly spiced "gin" style, a floral-herbal, citrus-mineral profile dominates.
Nordés is ideal for Gin & Tonic, preferably with premium tonic, a piece of ice and a refreshing herb (e.g., sage, mint, lemon peel), or it goes well with light meals, seafood, tapas, fresh salads or fruit – thanks to its fresh, aromatic nature.
