Glencadam Amarone Wine Cask Finish (Riserva di Amarone) is an exceptional single malt whisky from the traditional Scottish distillery Glencadam in the East Highlands. This whisky is produced in small batches, with the base being a distillate aged in high-quality American oak bourbon casks. It is then finished in carefully selected casks from iconic Italian Amarone wine.
The Amarone wine casks impart a pronounced fruitiness, sweetness, and complexity that sets it apart from classic bourbon cask whiskies. The aroma features notes of cherry jam, marzipan, fruity nougat, and pistachios, complemented by subtle spices.
The taste is rich and full-bodied, with intense notes of red fruit, candied ginger, and strawberry licorice intertwining with oak spice, citrus peel, and cocoa. The finish is long and warming, with layers of cappuccino, dark chocolate, Morello cherries, and raspberry jam.
