Glencadam 2007 15 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish (Reserva de Jerez) is a premium Scottish single malt whisky from the traditional Glencadam distillery in the East Highlands region. This limited expression was created from distillate from 2007, which first matured in high-quality American oak bourbon casks and was then finished in top-notch Oloroso sherry casks from the Jerez region of Spain.
The finish in Oloroso casks gives the whisky a pronounced depth, sweetness, and complexity typical of sherry cask whisky. The aroma is dominated by rich notes of praline, roasted nuts, golden syrup, and candied citrus peel.
The taste is full and harmonious, with layers of maple pie with pecans, raisins, milk chocolate, and heather honey, complemented by gentle spices and oak notes. The finish is long and warming, with hints of apple strudel, vanilla cream, and sweet spices, rounded off with a subtle note of espresso.
The whisky is unchillfiltered and free from added colorings, preserving its natural character. Bottled at 46% alcohol, it offers an intense and full-bodied experience.
