Glencadam Reserva de Porto Branco White Port Cask Finish is an elegant single malt whisky from the traditional Scottish distillery Glencadam in the East Highlands region. This edition is produced in small batches under the supervision of the Master Distiller, with the base being a distillate aged in American oak barrels previously used for bourbon.
It is then finished in carefully selected white port wine casks from Portugal, which give it a fresher, lighter, and fruitier character compared to the classic Tawny Port finish.
The aroma features fresh notes of strawberries and stone fruits, complemented by whipped cream, a malty base, and citrus oils. The taste is smooth and sweet, with layers of summer fruits, baked apples, raisins, and raspberry jam, enhanced by dessert notes of cookies and brandy snap.
The finish is medium-long and elegant, with hints of white pepper, vanilla cream, and caramel toffee, concluding with delicate woody tones.
The whisky is unchillfiltered and free from added colorings, preserving its natural character. Bottled at 46% alcohol, it offers a balanced and approachable flavor profile.
