Loch Lomond Oloroso Sherry Cask

Loch Lomond Oloroso Sherry Cask is a modern interpretation of sherry-finished Highland whisky. It is distilled in the distillery’s unique Straight Neck stills, allowing precise control over the fruity character of the spirit.

After initial maturation, the whisky is finished for 6 months in certified Oloroso sherry casks. This process imparts rich notes of dried fruit, gentle nuttiness, and a sweet hint of brown sugar, while maintaining the fresh character typical of Loch Lomond.

On the nose, vanilla, raisins, and a touch of caramel stand out. The palate is smooth and harmonious, offering dried fruit, brown sugar, subtle spice, and oak. Compared to classic Speyside sherry whiskies, it feels fresher and more fruit-forward.

This edition is part of the new Original Series and is positioned alongside The Original Triple Oak. Bottled at 40 % ABV, it delivers an approachable yet flavourful experience for both connoisseurs and newcomers to the sherry style.

Best enjoyed neat or with a drop of water to enhance the sweet sherry notes.
