History of Loch Lomond Brand

The Loch Lomond distillery was founded in the 1960s by Littlemill Distillery Company Ltd., which continued the tradition of the oldest licensed distillery in Scotland – Littlemill. Part of the ownership later belonged to the American company Barton Brands. The brand has built a reputation as one of the most innovative whisky producers.

Specific Distillation Equipment

Loch Lomond is unique in that it uses multiple types of stills, including special straight neck stills. This type of still has an extended neck that allows for very precise control over the distillation process. As a result, the distillery can create distillates with different structures and intensities, and thus a wide range of resulting flavors. This flexibility makes Loch Lomond one of the most versatile producers of Scottish whisky.
