The amazing 18-year-old Dalmore malt whiskey from the Highland region is as rich, fruity and spicy as you might want from Dalmore. The glory to Richard Paterson for creating another real chocolate-orange whiskey heats up quickly and is great for the colder months. He matures for 14 years in American oak barrels, the next three years in Matuzalem barrels, and for the last year in sherry barrels.
Aroma: Fruity and spicy with tones of vanilla, orange flavor and mixture, jam and sweet milk chocolate. Touch of skin and raisins.
Taste: Delicious family distillate with tones of chocolate, raisins, juicy citrus, compote fruit, old sherry and spices.
Conclusion: Long, fruity aftertaste ending with almonds, butter candies, apples and cocoa.
