Dalmore 18 Year Old
Pronunciation: {Dalmór}It matures for 14 years in American oak casks, followed by three years in Matuzalem casks and a final year in sherry casks. Dalmore 18-year-old single malt whisky from the Highland region is rich, fruity and spicy. It was created by Richard Paterson, master distiller at this distillery.
It is matured for 14 years in ex-bourbon American white oak casks, then finished in 30-year-old Matuzalem Oloroso sherry casks, which are among the rarest casks in the world and are available exclusively to Dalmore.
The aroma is opulent, full of fruity notes, vanilla, oak, cocoa and citrus. The taste is dominated by notes of black pepper, ginger, cloves, orange peel and forest fruits. The finish is medium-long and smooth, with hints of black pepper, caramel, oak, stewed fruit and cocoa.
It was bottled at 43 % ABV, coloured and probably cold filtered.
