Dalmore 12 Year Old

Dalmore 12 is an interesting single malt whisky from the Highland region. The whisky first matures in American white oak barrels that previously contained bourbon, which gave it a delicate taste of vanilla and honey. Later, part of the whisky was finished in Oloroso sherry barrels, which gave it a taste of oranges and cinnamon.

It has a mahogany-gold color, with aromas of citrus, cocoa, and baking spices. The taste reveals notes of black pepper, dried fruit, orange, raisins, and vanilla. The finish is medium-long and bittersweet, with hints of coffee and black pepper.

The whisky was bottled with an alcohol content of 40 %. However, it was also colored and cold filtered.
