Glenmorangie Signet

Glenmorangie Signet is an exceptional and distinctive single malt whisky, considered the richest expression in the Glenmorangie portfolio. It was born as a bold experiment - it begins with the production of "chocolate malt" (roasted malt) once a year, whose intensity resembles an espresso note, filling the distillery with aromas more familiar from an Italian café.

Signet represents the art of blending – its foundational character is balanced by carefully selected casks (American oak for creaminess, and Oloroso sherry casks for sweetness).

On the nose, Signet opens with notes of chocolate raisins, candied orange peel and a dry flavor of sweet fruit. It is complemented by elements of roasted spices, various pudding accents and a hint of bitters - it also carries traces of roasted coffee and tobacco leaf.

On the palate, it combines a sweet syrupy texture with a spicy pull (cinnamon, spice), while a chocolate-orange profile and subtle notes of lychee and dates emerge. Roasted coffee, roasted hazelnuts, and honey-syrup layers complete the background. In the finish, the whisky gradually dries out, revealing a light rubbery character and a hint of oil in the background.

This whisky is ideal for enjoying neat, at room temperature - a few drops of water can reveal even more delicate aromas of chocolate and spice without diminishing its character. Signet is suitable for slow tasting, an ideal companion to dark chocolate with orange, roasted nuts, or a luxurious dessert, where its deep tones have space to shine.
