Glenmorangie The Nectar 16 Years Old

Glenmorangie The Nectar 16 Year Old is an elegant Highland single malt Scotch whisky, which follows the sweet, dessert-style of the original Glenmorangie The Nectar D’Or. The whisky aged for 14 years in bourbon casks and was then finished in casks that previously held sweet white wines, giving it a richer, creamier, and more complex expression.

The resulting character is influenced by casks from Sauternes and Monbazillac from France, Moscatel from Spain, and Tokaji from Hungary. They bring notes of pastry, brioche, meringues, baked apples, white chocolate, almonds, and honeycomb.

On the palate, it feels sweet, creamy, and fruity, yet balanced by a fresh citrus line. Notes of vanilla cream, baked apricots, raisin bread, chestnuts, nutmeg, star anise, lemon zest, and honey emerge.
