Glencadam Réserve de Burgundy Pinot Noir Cask Finish is a distinctive single malt whisky from the traditional Scottish distillery Glencadam in the East Highlands region. This edition is crafted in small batches under the supervision of the Master Distiller, with a base of distillate maturing in American oak barrels previously used for bourbon.
It is then finished in carefully selected Pinot Noir wine casks from the prestigious French region of Burgundy. This process imparts an elegant character with an emphasis on dark fruit, subtle sweetness, and complex spicy notes.
The aroma is dominated by rich scents of cherry jam, stewed plums, and chocolate mousse, complemented by a gentle fruity sweetness. The taste is full and slightly oily, with layers of blackcurrants, forest fruits, Brazil nuts, and banana bread intertwining with tones of espresso, cloves, and anise.
The finish is long and warming, with hints of mocha coffee, Black Forest chocolate dessert, and gentle spices like ginger, nutmeg, and woody notes.
The whisky is unchillfiltered and free from added colorings, preserving its natural character. Bottled at 46% alcohol, it offers a complex and intense tasting experience.
