Gin Bareksten represents the essence of Norway in taste and aroma. It is dark, wild, captivating, and dramatic. Bareksten draws inspiration for its gins from the dark Norwegian forests, where the sun rarely shines, and where mystical creatures dwell at the roots of ancient oaks.

The gin is distilled in small batches, resulting in a very strong product with a noble fruity expression. It has a traditional base line, but you will find hints of wild blueberries, cranberries, rhubarb, elderflower, mint, and over 20 other different ingredients.

Thanks to long hours of daylight, warm days, and cool nights, Norway may have the best conditions for growing herbs and forest fruits in the world. Around the distillery, 18 of the 26 botanical ingredients used in Bareksten's spirit grow. The base product, which is potatoes, comes from local sources, as maximum effort is made to ensure the use of Norwegian products.

The gin is made from purely natural herb extracts, the combination of which is strictly guarded.
