Tequila Herradura Plata (Silver) is a masterpiece with roots dating back to 1870. It is produced in the iconic distillery Casa Herradura, one of the last traditional tequila producers, where hand-harvesting of agave and careful artisanal processing are still used. It is located in the village of Amatitán – in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage site – where volcanic soil and ideal climate create unique conditions for growing blue agave.
Although Herradura Plata (Silver) is classified as a silver tequila, it significantly differs from most – before bottling, it rests for 45 days in American white oak barrels. This short yet significant process gives it smoothness and roundness, while still retaining the characteristic purity and freshness typical of high-quality blanco tequila.
