The company Casa Herradura was founded in 1870 and has been one of the most renowned tequila producers since the 19th century in Mexican Amatitán in the state of Jalisco.

Within its walls, some of the best tequilas ever tasted are produced and bottled. It was here that the first types of reposado and extra añejo were invented, forever changing the world of tequila. And right here, in the small town of Amatitán in the heart of the Mexican tequila region, they continue to set the standards for what is to come.

With a history as rich as the land itself, located in the Mexican state of Jalisco - the birthplace of tequila - Casa Herradura is nothing short of a national treasure.

In the original hand-built clay ovens, agave was prepared for nearly a hundred years. These traditional ovens captured the nuances of the agave's flavor profile, securing their place in the history of Tequila Herradura.

For over a hundred years, fresh agave juice was collected from the tahona wheel and poured into large fermentation tanks, where it was mixed with water from the underground aqueduct.
