At its core lies Bunnahabhain’s robust, oily spirit, initially matured in Oloroso sherry casks, where it developed depth, structure, and its distinctive coastal character.

Its true distinction emerges in the second phase. Over 21 months of additional maturation, the whisky was finished in 21 hand-selected Pedro Ximénez casks. A bold yet precisely controlled decision, allowing the syrupy sweetness of PX to integrate seamlessly with the spirit, without overpowering its natural character.
