Bunnahabhain An Cladach 1l
Pronunciation: {Bu-na-haven An Kla-dach}In Scottish Gaelic, An Cladach means the shore. Bunnahabhain An Cladach is made for the bold who want to explore new lands and seek new possibilities. The whisky has a rich sherry flavor, perfectly balanced with notes of nuts and fruit, with a hint of the sea.
This whisky matured in sherry casks (primarily Oloroso).
The aroma is dominated by sweet dried fruits like raisins and cherries, soft caramel and vanilla, accompanied by a gentle touch of salty air and oak wood. There are also nutty accents (e.g., walnuts), subtle spices, and a hint of sea foam, all of which together create an appealing, rich aroma profile.
The taste delivers a smooth and juicy introduction – sweet honey and sherry blend with fruits like plums, cherries, or dried fruits. The mid-palate is spicy – gentle black pepper, clove, perhaps a bit of nutmeg, along with nuts. The finish is longer, with a calm echo of dried fruit, oak, and a touch of salty minerality – reminiscent of a seaside atmosphere.
We recommend serving it best neat in a tulip glass at room temperature, to fully develop the aromas of sherry, nuts, and the sea. A few drops of water can help open up the sweeter and spicier layers. A great choice for relaxing by the sea, dinner, or as a gift from the Islay whiskies series.
