This limited whisky Bruichladdich comes from a distillery on the Scottish island of Islay, known for its progressive and transparent approach to whisky. The Classic Laddie Sherry Cask Edition is created as a variation of the base unpeated style “Classic Laddie” – a distillate made from 100% Scottish barley malt, including biodynamic varieties.

The whisky first matures traditionally, then receives a final finishing in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks sourced from Bodega Fernando de Castilla in Jerez, Spain. The result is an elegant, non-chill filtered single malt with an alcohol content of 50% ABV.

On the nose, it opens with a rich mix of fruit and sweetness: fig jam, candied orange peel, and dried raisins intertwine with the freshness of sea air, roasted almonds, and buttery caramel. The palate is full and moderately sweet – revealing molasses, dried fruit, sweet nuts, and subtle spicy notes. The finish is long and complex, with a harmonious balance between seductive sweetness and structure.
