Bruichladdich Organic Barley 16 Year Old
Bruichladdich 16 Year Old whisky is distilled from 100 % Scottish barley – including organic barley – in traditional stills.
It is then aged for 16 years in ex-bourbon casks on Islay, giving it long-lasting contact with oak and time to develop complex flavour layers. The process is strictly natural: no colouring, no chill filtration.
The aroma is a captivating combination of honey, floral notes (e.g. eucalyptus and menthol), sweet grains and a hint of sea minerality.
Layers of ginger, spice, red berries, salty sea and sharp American oak unfold on the palate, providing an intense but elegant experience. The finish is remarkably long, with a sweet honey warmth and a chocolate-oak finish.
This whisky is best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water in a Glencairn glass, which allows you to explore the complexity of the aromas.
The bottles are filled with a high alcohol content of up to 50 % and a volume of 0,7 l.
