Bruichladdich 18 Year Old is a Scottish single malt whisky from the Islay region, representing the unpeated style of this distillery. It matures exclusively on the Isle of Islay, primarily in ex-bourbon casks and a smaller number of wine casks, which gives it a complex flavor profile.
The aroma of the whisky is aromatic with notes of ripe peaches and periwinkle, hints of violets and lavender, balanced with vanilla and creamy coconut from American oak. A blend of tropical fruits emerges, such as melon, peaches, apricots, and vibrant citrus, while the oak influence brings honey, caramel, vanilla pudding and rich crème brûlée.
The taste is luxurious and viscous, with honey, caramel, and fresh fruit enveloping the palate, followed by cereal notes of sweet, syrup-soaked porridge, barley sugar, and toasted oak. Lively tropical fruit and a subtle presence of oak with a hint of leather, while honeycomb adds to the smooth, sweet character.
The bottle is made from an average of 60% recycled glass and is topped with a Vinolok glass stopper in a decanter style. The outer packaging is made from fully recyclable paper material, reflecting the distillery's commitment to sustainability.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 50%.
