Bruichladdich 21 Year Old
Whisky Bruichladdich 21 Year Old is an exceptional single malt from the Scottish island of Islay, distinguished by its emphasis on terroir, traditional craftsmanship and organic approach.
It was matured in a combination of 80 % bourbon and 20 % sherry casks. This edition is renowned for its eco-friendly packaging and emphasis on sustainability.
The Bruichladdich distillery was founded in 1881 on the west coast of Islay. After several periods of inactivity, it was relaunched in 2001 with the aim of producing whiskies with an emphasis on the provenance of the ingredients and traditional methods. All whiskies from this brand are single malt. The distillery uses only Scotch barley, some of which is sourced directly from Islay, and water from local sources.
The flavour of the whisky is initially dominated by spices such as nutmeg and liquorice, complemented by sultanas, dates and hints of old leather. The second layer reveals dried fruits, chocolate, almonds, vanilla, sweet caramel, brown sugar and honey.
The bottles are bottled at 50 % alcohol with a 0,7 l capacity and come in stylish gift packaging.
