Whisky Bruichladdich 21 Year Old is an exceptional single malt from the Scottish island of Islay, characterized by a focus on terroir, traditional craftsmanship, and an eco-friendly approach.
Aging took place in a combination of 80% bourbon casks and 20% sherry casks. This edition is known for its eco-friendly packaging and emphasis on sustainability.
Bruichladdich Distillery was founded in 1881 on the west coast of Islay. After several periods of inactivity, it was revived in 2001 with the aim of producing whisky that emphasizes the origin of raw materials and traditional methods. All whiskies from this brand are single malt. The distillery exclusively uses Scottish barley, part of which comes directly from Islay, and water from local sources.
In the flavor of the whisky, spices such as nutmeg and sweet licorice initially dominate, complemented by sultanas, dates, and notes of old leather. The second layer reveals dried fruit, chocolate, almonds, vanilla, sweet caramel, brown sugar, and honey.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 50% with a volume of 0.7 l and are delivered in a stylish gift packaging.
