Bairnsfather Bitter
Bairnsfather Bitter is a traditional Czech herbal liqueur handcrafted at the Bairnsfather Distillery in Domašov near Jeseník. It is created by macerating carefully selected mountain herbs, roots, and spices in fine grain alcohol, following the original recipe without the use of artificial additives or colorings.
The aroma reveals notes of mountain herbs, orange peel, spices, and subtle caramel. The taste is full, bitter-sweet, and harmonious – it combines gentle bitterness with herbal character and hints of citrus. The finish is long, drier, and refreshing, with a pleasant bitter aftertaste.
Bairnsfather Bitter is ideal as an aperitif or digestif after a meal, served neat, chilled, or on the rocks. Thanks to its authentic handcrafted production, it pays tribute to traditional Czech herbalism.
Bairnsfather Bitter contains 55 % alcohol and a maximum psychoactive substance "thujone" from wormwood: 32-35 mg / kg. Due to the increased content of wormwood, it has a bitter taste. It should be consumed diluted with ice water or as part of mixed drinks.
