Bairnsfather Bitter
Bairnsfather Bitter is a traditional Czech herbal liqueur handmade at the Bairnsfather Distillery in Domašov near Jeseník. It is made by macerating carefully selected mountain herbs, roots, and spices in fine grain alcohol, according to the original recipe without the use of artificial additives or colorings.
The aroma features notes of mountain herbs, orange peel, spices, and delicate caramel. The taste is full-bodied, bittersweet, and harmonious, combining a delicate bitterness with herbal character and a hint of citrus. The finish is long, dry, and refreshing, with a pleasant bitter aftertaste.
Bairnsfather Bitter is ideal as an aperitif or digestif after a meal, served neat, chilled or with ice. Thanks to its authentic handcrafted production, it pays tribute to traditional Czech herbalism.
Bairnsfather Bitter contains 55 % alcohol and a maximum of 32-35 mg/kg of the psychoactive substance thujone from wormwood. Due to its high wormwood content, it has a bitter taste. It should be drunk diluted with ice water or as part of mixed drinks.
