La Fée Bohemian Absinthe is a modern bohemian-style absinthe, created in France and inspired by Czech tradition. It has an exceptionally low anise content, intense herbal notes and a fresh profile, making it ideal as an ingredient in innovative cocktails or for refreshing ritual drinking.
This absinthe was created as a modern interpretation of the bohemian style of entertaining absinthe, characterized by a bright green color with a blue rim, a slight influence of anise, and a distinctive flavor of wormwood, mint, and eucalyptus.
Despite its name, "Bohemian" is distilled in France, but the inspiration comes from recipes from the early 1990s in the Czech Republic. It is unsweetened, has 70 % ABV and is primarily used as an interesting ingredient in cocktails, not as a traditional French-style absinthe.
La Fée Bohemian has a bright emerald color with an electric blue design. The aroma is fresh and aromatic, dominated by eucalyptus and mint. The palate is clean and fresh, combining mint, subtle wormwood bitterness, and spice. The finish is long, mentholated and invigorating, with a pleasant cooling aftertaste.
It is perfect for modern cocktails such as the Bohemian Mule, but also for slow sipping with water and ice in a classic ratio (e.g. 3:1 water to absinthe).
