Planteray Sealander

Planteray Sealander is an elegant Blended Rum, which combines rums from three different origins – Barbados, Mauritius, and Fiji. Each brings its own character: Barbados adds balance and subtle elegance, Mauritius contributes a herbal and fresh expression, while Fiji complements with fruitiness, structure, and a more complex rum base.

The production style follows the typical Planteray approach, where rums are moved to France for further aging after tropical maturation. The combination of rums from molasses and sugarcane juice, pot still and column still distillation, bourbon barrels, and subsequent aging in Ferrand casks creates a fuller, layered, and subtly sweet profile.

The aroma reveals Christmas spices, quince jelly, gooseberry, gingerbread, and a delicate hint of smoky molasses. The taste is delicious and balanced, with notes of clover honey, nutmeg, sweet licorice, cinnamon, and vanilla fondant. Planteray Sealander shines neat, on the rocks, or in rum cocktails, where it can add fruity depth, gentle spice, and elegant sweetness.
