Planteray Vintage Collection Mauritius 2013 is an exceptional rum from a limited edition made from carefully selected casks that perfectly reflect the unique terroir of Mauritius.
This rum was distilled in 2013 from molasses in a column still, and its journey to perfection lasted a long 11 years. The first 9 years it matured in the tropical environment of Flic & Flac in Mauritius in 200-liter bourbon casks. It then moved to France, where it aged for another 2 years in 350-liter Ferrand cognac casks.
This precise aging process gives Planteray Mauritius 2013 its characteristic flavor profile, which is full of tropical fruits, caramel, and vanilla, complemented by fresh citrus notes of lemon zest, passion fruit, banana, and coconut. The complexity of the rum is enriched by subtle undertones of nutmeg and tobacco, adding depth and uniqueness.
This edition is limited to 19 casks and each bottle is a true tribute to the art of distillation and aging. It is ideal for connoisseurs and collectors looking for something special and exceptional. The rum is also bottled at an alcohol content of 46.5%, which emphasizes its full flavor and intensity.
