Kilchoman 20th Anniversary 14 Year Old Ex-Bourbon
Whisky Kilchoman 20th Anniversary 14 Year Old Ex-Bourbon is a blend of five carefully selected casks (numbers 403, 422, 498, 750 and 800) filled in 2010 and bottled on 22 April 2025. It has an alcohol content of 51,2 %, with no added colouring and no chill filtration.
The production process begins with classic double distillation, followed by maturation in bourbon casks, which impart hints of vanilla, caramel and a delicate oily texture. The result is a 14-year maturation that provides a balance between sweetness and Kilchoman's typical peaty smokiness.
Kilchoman is known for growing and malting its own barley on site, ensuring high quality and authentic character. This bourbon version offers a refreshing combination of citrus notes, sweet caramel and sea peat – ideal for those who appreciate the brand's smoother yet still distinctly smoky profile.
Founded in 2005 by Anthony Wills, Kilchoman Distillery on the island of Islay is a unique distillery where the entire whisky production process takes place, from growing the barley to bottling. To mark the distillery's 20th anniversary, a special series of casks, the ‘20th Anniversary Cask Series’, has been created.
