The Whistler French Oak 10 years old is an Irish single malt whiskey aged first in American oak barrels, which gave it a full body and a honey profile. Whiskey get its final maturation in French oak barrels infused with the best wine from Bordeaux, France. French oak barrels have undergone the N.E.O.C. process giving to its taste a spicy style like after maturation in new oak barrels. Harmoniously connected with the notes of dried fruit coming from Bordeaux wine barrels.
Unfiltered. Naturally colored whiskey made only in a small batch.
Flavour Profile
Aroma:
honey with notes of cooked fruit, stewed pears and black currants, vanilla, caramels, spices, pastry and white chocolate with some mineral notes and herbs
Taste:
rich with a silky texture and notes of cooked apples and pears, bananas, pineapple and sweet notes of barley malt
Finish:
mildly spicy with bursting fruit
