Tyrconnell

Tyrconnell comes from a tradition dating back to 1876, when the racehorse of the same name was honored with the first short production line – this brand was revived by Cooley Distillery after its acquisition in 1988.

This Irish single malt whiskey is made from 100% malt, double distilled in copper pot stills and aged exclusively in ex-bourbon casks, which gives it a smooth, creamy character with a rich sweet note.

On the nose, you can detect notes of citrus (lemon, orange), pear, vanilla, honey, white chocolate, blooming flowers and subtle oak dust. The palate reveals tropical elements like pineapple and guava, complemented by lemon cake, orange juice, vanilla and fresh oak notes.

The finish is full and lasting, with hints of spice, slightly bitter oak, and sweetness – creamy and pleasantly spicy.

Tyrconnell is exceptionally versatile – it tastes great neat or on the rocks. With its gentle, sweet yet refreshing character, it is also ideal as a base for sophisticated cocktails.
