Bushmills 10 Year Old

Bushmills is an excellent 10-Year-Old single malt Irish whiskey, aged in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. It has acquired an excellent fresh fruity flavor with notes of chocolate, malt, vanilla, and wood from the barrels.

The aroma initially reveals honey notes, vanilla, and chocolate, accompanied by sweet fruit – especially apples, pears, and a hint of banana. There are also spicy accents, subtle oak tones, and a touch of fudge or caramel.

On the palate, the whiskey is quite smooth, with a combination of sweet malt, vanilla, and honey, along with a fruity profile: baked apples, pear accents, and perhaps a bit of tropical fruit like mango or peach in the background. The juicy fruit is balanced by the oak cask and spices – e.g., a gentle pinch of black pepper or cinnamon. The alcohol (40 %) is well integrated, making the whiskey a pleasant experience even for those who do not enjoy very “strong” whiskeys.

The bottle comes in a nice blue and white gift tube. We recommend serving it neat, on the rocks, or with a splash of water.
