Single malt whiskey Tullamore Dew 14 Year Old comes from Ireland, from the brand Tullamore D.E.W. It is a triple-distilled whiskey that matures for 14 years primarily in ex-bourbon casks and ultimately gains a special finish in four types of casks.

Not only do the casks from Madeira, Sherry, and Port add complexity to this whiskey, but there is also a beautiful harmony between the flavor typical of whiskey aged in American oak and the rich flavor of whiskey aged in European oak.

While most single malt whiskies are distilled twice, triple distillation gives this Irish single malt whiskey exceptional smoothness and finish.

Many whiskeys are currently removing age statements from their labels due to dwindling stocks of aged whiskey. For this whiskey, only whiskeys distilled in 2011 and before were used.

The aroma reveals notes of fresh apple, citrus and exotic fruits, complemented by honey, vanilla, and sweet caramel. These scents are enhanced by a hint of oak, which adds a subtle dryness and spice. The taste is smooth, rich, with layers of fruit – such as juicy apple or mango – along with the sweetness of honey and vanilla, and delicate spicy elements like cinnamon or nutmeg. The finish is medium-long, with lingering sweetness, a woody trace, and a touch of spice.

We recommend serving it best neat, at room temperature in a tulip or Glencairn glass. If it seems too strong, a few drops of water can help open up the softer fruity notes. Also excellent as a gift or for special occasions when you want to showcase the complexity and elegance of whiskey.
