The Whistler Dark Symphony
The Whistler Dark Symphony is a distinctive Irish blended whiskey that combines traditional craftsmanship with an innovative approach to maturation. This edition stands out thanks to its unique finishing in N.E.O.C (New Era Oak Cask), adding depth, complexity and an elegant character.
The N.E.O.C process involves hand-cleaning and gently toasting the oak staves to enhance spicy oak notes, which then harmoniously blend with fruity sweetness and candied fruit tones derived from VSOP cognac casks. The whiskey is triple distilled to achieve exceptional smoothness.
The blend consists of 20% Irish single malt and 80% Irish grain whiskey. The base matured for 3–4 years in first-fill bourbon casks before undergoing at least 12 months of finishing in cognac casks. The result is a full and balanced flavour profile with notes of vanilla, dried fruit, delicate spice and oak.
