Scottish single malt whisky Glenglassaugh Sandend comes to market as one of the first to have matured in the Victorian distillery Glenglassaugh after its reopening in 2008.
It is distilled on the northern coast of Aberdeenshire, in the crescent-shaped bay and surfer's paradise Sandend Bay, which holds many childhood memories for master blender Rachel Barrie, as she learned to surf here. The coastline has undoubtedly inspired this unpeated whisky, which matured in a combination of bourbon, sherry, and manzanilla casks. The aromatic flavor profile features notes of buttery vanilla ice cream, tropical fruits like grapefruit and pineapple, cherries, chocolate, salted caramel, as well as sea notes from the coastal air.
The whisky is bottled at a high 50.5% alcohol content.
Packaged in a designer bottle inspired by coastal waves.
