It was first matured in high-quality American bourbon casks, which gave it its characteristic citrus freshness and waxy texture typical of Deanston.

It was then stored for 12 months in new American oak casks from the prestigious Kelvin Cooperage in Kentucky, which gave it depth and spiciness.

The result is an intense and robust flavor with notes of sweet spice, candied fruit, green apple, and citrus - all in perfect balance. This expression celebrates the waxy style that Deanston is famous for and demonstrates how Virgin oak casks can influence the character of a whisky.
