Whisky Glen Garioch 1797 Founder’s Reserve is a tribute to the year of establishment of one of the oldest operating distilleries in Scotland – Glen Garioch in Aberdeenshire (1797). This Highland single malt is non-chill filtered and bottled at a strength of 48% ABV, with natural color and a full, robust texture.
The whisky matures in a combination of American oak bourbon casks and European sherry casks, which adds depth and rich complexity.
The aroma features notes of sweet barley, caramel, vanilla, apple and a subtle sherry character with hints of honey and flowers.
On the palate, it is full, honey-sweet, with layers of buttery caramel, spice, ripe fruit (peach, pear) and a gentle hint of oak. The finish is long, warm, with fruity notes, a nutty accent, and a touch of spice.
Founder’s Reserve represents a modern expression of the classic Highland style – robust, malt-rich, and elegantly balanced.
