Deanston 18 Year Old

Deanston 18 Year Old is the flagship edition of the premium Deanston distillery – matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks for 18 years, bottled without chill filtration, it retains tremendous depth with a characteristic sweetness and waxy texture.

Full maturation in American oak ex-bourbon casks gives the whisky its unmistakable character – from sweet barley syrup to vanilla to crisp apple and honey. The nose opens with notes of blooming meadow flowers, grass, tobacco, and nutmeg, awakening the typical Highland profile with a subtle waxy hint.

The palate reveals a sweet and spicy blend of citrus, caramel, gingerbread, manuka honey and white pepper, complemented by lime cake and orange sweetener, all of which create a complex yet elegant structure. The finish is dry and spicy with a warm, ginger-honey tail that invites another sip.

This whisky has been awarded gold in international competitions and won the title of Whisky of the Year 2022 at the Whisky Exchange – it was recognized for its ability to present a full, clean style without special cask additions.

The bottles are filled with 46,3 % alcohol by volume, have a volume of 0,7 l, and come in gift tubes.
