The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old French Virgin Oak + Free Gin Sul
The GlenAllachie French Oak Finish is a very tasty Scotch whisky from the Speyside region. It matured for 8 years and 6 months in ex-bourbon French oak casks, which gave it a smooth and distinctive character. It was finished for 18 months in specially selected French virgin oak casks.
The French casks are made from oak Quercus Alba, sourced from the Haute Garonne region near the Pyrenees. The fine-grained, consistent wood is dried for 15 months before the whisky The GlenAllachie is placed in it. The entire production and maturation process was overseen by the legendary Billy Walker.
This is a limited edition from the second batch, meaning that only a limited number of bottles were produced, with no added colors and no chill filtration. The whisky comes in a very nice gift packaging.

The juniper distillate is created in a small, handcrafted, copper distillation apparatus. All alcoholic vapors must pass through a metal sieve containing herbs.
Cold, clear, and soft water from Lüneburg Heath, Portuguese lemons the size of grapefruits, juniper, fresh rosemary, and the oily resin from the herb cistus (rock rose) make GIN SUL exceptional. A hint of the Portuguese Atlantic coast is filled into typical white clay bottles, which protect the gin from light and heat.
