Description
Cardhu Gold Reserve is the latest product of Diageo distillery, which slightly changed the range of basic products when the production of single-malted (or double-malted) whiskey without age was started. Cardhu Gold Reserve is created using hand-crafted tanned oak barrels and offers something other than a classic 12-year-old whiskey with a more fruity aroma and a dry warming taste.
Aroma: Canned honey stones, caramels and hints of strawberry with red apple and ginger, which pierce with a little water.
Taste: Quite dry, with biscuit oak and a little cinnamon, and the caramel and apple tones are also partially developed.
Conclusion: Fine oak and caramel digestives (with the taste of milk chocolate).
Overall: It is described as “generous whiskey and this description is characteristic of the aroma and its general ease of drinking.
