Whisky Balvenie Creation Of A Classic, from the The Balvenie Stories edition, celebrates the innovations of master David C. Stewart, who invented the final maturation in sherry casks in the early 1980s.
This Speyside single malt whisky first matures in American oak casks, acquiring essential vanilla notes. It then gains its character from a finish in sweet Oloroso sherry casks. It was launched in 2021 as a significant contribution to the brand's storytelling.
The aroma is aromatic and vibrant – a blend of vanilla, ginger, caramel, with cloves and chai spices laid on an earthy malt base. The taste is perfectly balanced with a ratio of oat syrup, delicate caramel, gentle spices, and a dry oak finish. The finish is long, with a pleasant dry oak conclusion.
Creation Of a Classic is very approachable and, thanks to its smooth oak flavor, is an ideal entry point for bourbon enthusiasts discovering the world of Scotch whisky. It is best enjoyed neat, or with a few drops of water, which penetrate the layers of spice and ripe fruit.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 43% with a volume of 0.7 l and are delivered in gift tubes.
