The Balvenie 14 Year Old Week Of Peat is a unique single malt from the Scottish region Speyside, created during one week of the year when the Balvenie distillery experiments with peated malt. This exceptional week was inspired by the visit of distillery manager Ian Millar to the Isle of Islay, where he decided to bring a peaty character to the traditionally smooth Balvenie whisky.
Whisky aged 14 years in American oak casks, which previously held bourbon and sherry. The result is a harmonious combination of sweetness, fruitiness, and gentle smoke, offering a complex flavor profile. With an alcohol content of 48.3 % and no chill filtration, it retains its full flavor and character.
“The Week of Peat” is part of the “Balvenie Stories” series, which tells stories of craftsmanship and innovation at the distillery. Each bottle is equipped with NFC technology, allowing access to audio stories and additional information via smartphone.
Bottles are filled with a volume of 0.7 l and come in beautiful stylish tubes.
