The Balvenie 14 Year Old Week Of Peat
Balvenie 14 Year Old Week Of Peat is a unique single malt from the Scottish region of Speyside, produced during one week of the year when the Balvenie distillery experiments with peated malt. This exceptional week was inspired by a visit by distillery manager Ian Millar to the island of Islay, where he decided to bring a peaty character to the traditionally smooth Balvenie whisky.
The whisky has been aged for 14 years in American oak casks that previously contained bourbon and sherry. The result is a harmonious combination of sweetness, fruitiness and subtle smoke, offering a complex flavour profile. With an alcohol content of 48,3 % and no chill filtration, it retains its full flavour and character.
‘The Week of Peat’ is part of the ‘Balvenie Stories’ series, which tells stories about craftsmanship and innovation at the distillery. Each bottle is equipped with NFC technology, which allows access to audio stories and other information via a smartphone.
The bottles are filled with 0,7 l and come in beautiful, stylish tubes.
