Whiskey The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve draws on the tradition of free-style whiskey production according to George Smith, who, when founding the distillery, selected barrels of various ages without age labeling.

Today, this is symbolized by the Founder's Reserve brand - a blend of distillates of various ages, matured in a combination of traditional (refill) oak and first-fill American white oak barrels.

Released in 2014, Founder's Reserve serves as a replacement for the 12-year-old version in new markets and as a tribute to the founder's vision. The premium style of whiskey highlights a creamy texture and a fruity-citrus profile – just as George Smith intended back in 1824.

Its emphasis on smoothness and accessibility makes it a perfect fit for The Glenlivet's mainstream portfolio, which is the second best-selling single malt whisky in the world.

The aroma is fresh creamy vanilla, sweet orange, pear candies, banana notes, and delicate honey. The taste is a combination of ripe pears, citrus fruits, and apples in caramel with a soft texture and vanilla pudding.
